Decrystallizing Honey

By: Jessica Robinson

Honey NEVER goes bad.  If it crystallizes do not throw it out!  It’s a quick and simple fix.  Generally, raw honey crystallizes easier since it’s only heated up enough to pour it into containers and not pasteurized.

Bring a pot of water to a boil, remove the lid from the jar and place the jar into the pot.  Use caution and do not walk away from the pot of boiling water.  I usually boil the water with the honey jar for about 5 minutes then shut it off.  If it needs a little more, restart the pot of water and continue to watch it.  Let cool and enjoy in all of your favorite recipes.
